Summer Must-Reads Pt. 1.
Quick! What scandal or crisis did #Trump set off precisely one week ago? You have no idea. Neither do we.
And if we think we know, we start to ask if it’s just a nightmare. Well, it’s not. The nightmare is Trump.
The fun of Donald Trump and His Assult on Truth by the Washington Post fact-checkers is its encyclopedic organization of the disorganization that is #TrumpsBrain. It’s a book of lies about truth. Or is it a book of the truth about lies? Either way, it’s a hit parade of the 16,241 lies Trump made through January.
Ones like: “We have the all-time record in the history Time magazine… I’ve been on it for 15 times this year.” Jan. 21, 2017.
(He wasn’t on it 15 times in his entire life. And who are “we”?).
“Let me just tell you a little secret, if Crooked Hillary would have won, your economy would have crashed…I have the greatest economy in the history of this country.” Dec. 18, 2019.
And we’ll add:
“Some areas that were very hard-hit are now doing very well. Some were doing very well, and we thought they may be gone and they flare up, and we’re putting out the fires. But other places were long before us, and they’re now — it’s like life; it’s got a life. And we’re putting out that life, because that’s a bad life that we’re talking about. But all of this suggests that workers are confident about fighting a new job..” Verbatim Remarks by President Trump on the Jobs Numbers Report.
(We give up.).
Our thanks to Donald Trump for being an a**hole and our apologies for plagiarizing The Washington Post, Scribner Books and Kelli at Dart Frogg Communications.
