Gina-89 Headshot

Gina and her sister Anne entered show business when there was a call for twin models, which put Gina on track to attend the RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) and the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Her journey taught her that she preferred being behind the scenes, producing. And producing taught her that she’d rather be producing for issues that she cared about — like society’s marginalized people.

After working with the National Organization for Women (NOW) and the United Nations — with a focus on LGBT rights and the rights of girls and young women — she became the CEO of ZanaAfrica, a group that is successfully increasing health and education opportunities for girls in Kenya.

Rising Stars is a book about 50 former actors and artists who now feed your families, fight inequality, prevent crime and make your community stronger. Keep up with the book’s progress on our Facebook page.
