This is so DISGUSTINGLY true. It makes me think of Carter back in the late 70s warning the American populace about rampant consumerism. If you view the video you can see the apprehension in Carter’s eyes. I think he had a feeling it wouldn’t fly, but he had the conscience to try! He was greatly dismayed at seeing Americans spend money wastefully; thinking it made them better Americans.
