Looking For Rising Stars!

Good news! Lester & Charlie are hard at work on a new book! Here’s how you can help:

THE WHAT

Our new book, Rising Stars, will profile people who once aspired to be showbiz legends — actors, dancers, singers — but life took them in another direction.

We know there are some great stories out there — stories about people who gave up on their showbiz dreams but eventually did something just as fulfilling. But not anything that would land them on the cover of People.

We’re talking about people like Dee Dee Jasmine, pictured above. Dee Dee had a promising career as a showgirl in the first interracial casino and stage show in Las Vegas. Yet, because of the casino’s bad management, bad location, bad timing and bad luck, Dee Dee had to leave the stage. Years later, she founded ETTA, Educating Through The Arts, a successful after-school program for children.

Dee Dee is a star in our book. We want to find more like her!

HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN DO

This is a tough search. You might know someone who fits the criteria or you might know someone else who does – and you don’t even know it! So, please spread the word and help us get in touch with some candidates!

We think there are many fun, inspirational stories out there and we think it’s time for the people behind them to have a moment in the spotlight.

Our first book, Lester & Charlie’s 50 Favorite TV Test Patterns, was such a raging success that, for 24 hours last spring, it was ranked in Amazon’s Top 100 Art Books! Our next book might even stay in the top 100 for a whole week!

THANK YOU FOR PITCHING IN!
